Debadged The Tailgate

Well the dealer had an AWFUL badge on there that I "never had enough time to take it off" (I was scared to) But today I finally grew a pair and took off the badge. Did it with fishing line and some goo gone and a little finger nail. I think it looks alot better. Gotta wash and wax it tomorrow to get the outlines off.

Stupid picture won't turn right side up... Just turn your head and imagine it. Stupid iPhone.

I ripped my dealer emblem off when i picked up my truck from the dealer and as soon as i got home i ripped the rear plate cover off. I hate that stuff, looks so ugly on the truck.

Almost there. Just 6 more letters.

Looks much better. :jester:

I actually like the Sierra and GMC logo on there. I think it's too plain without it.

Thanks for the compliments guys!

I told my dealer that I will not drive this truck off the lot with the dealer badge on the back. Then, I showed my salesman several vehicles on his own lot, at how cooked some of the dealer badges were. These a-holes who put these dealer badges on don't even have the pride to apply them strait. I can never understand why people go and pay $30K+ for a new car/truck and drive around with the ugly, cooked dealer sticker on the back of that new car. It just makes me angry.

My SD left the lot w/o this crap on the back.

any more pictures of your truck. I am really liking the look of those tires. Just getting a good set of tires saves alot of money vs lifting and new rims and tires

I don't need to do any advertising for a stealership that GM had the good sense to shut down. And, pulling all that stuff off is bound to give better mileage, right?

Yeah I can't believe it took me that long to debadge it to be honest. I've wanted to but for some reason I always thought since it was me somehow it would peel all the paint off haha

Had dealer take his tag off as I had asked for no tag. No flex tag as non-flex engine ordered. You might want to clay the area after removing such, then wax...
