I just received feedback from the Chevron Technical Support Team and the Chevron Dexron VI

ATF fluid is a full 100% synthetic ATF fluid. Out here in Oregon, the Fred Meyer Chain sells it

for $4.79 per quart. The Valvoline Dexron VI is going for $6.00 per quart. For all GM transmissions post 2006

requiring Dexron VI.

why do they "require" dexron??? Gm must have their fingers in something making money off of it somehow...but if their actually is a reason why i would like to know....

They wanted the TES-295 level fluid without having to pay Allision for the certification.

The Dex 6 fluid spec is indeed GM but they own the certification specs and do not have to pay Allision.
