4" Rancho Lift

many people have it and like it. an 18" wheel and 33" tire is the same tire to rim ratio as a 20" wheel and 35" tire; some people consider that ghetto, but i think 18's and 33's look EXCELLENT. also just an FYI the rancho kit is more of a 5-5.5" kit.

EDIT: when i'm takling about it being a great kit i'm talking about the Rancho kit.

I installed the Rancho on my truck a few months ago and it is a great kit. I'm not a fan of the Readylift either. It doesn't drop the lower control arms and only drops the diff 1.5". If you go with the Rancho, upgrade to the RS9000 shocks and struts. They are worth the extra money.

Said he was told to stay away from the ReadyLift 4" bad angle kit, not the Rancho. 20's and 35's are indeed ghetto :D

The Rancho is a great kit. The SST isn't even in the same ballpark in terms of quality.

If I was given the SST kit for free today, it wouldn't ever come out of its packaging. I'd put it on ebay with no reserve and put that money towards the Rancho (or similar ) lift kit.

Maybe a select few need the 20's on 35's and are overcompansating for some other "shortcoming "

how many hours does the rancho take to install?

the 33's on 18's is all i can fit in my price range at the moment haha

My kit took me around 12-13 hours total. I rented a strut spring compressor from Autozone for free. An electric torque wrench is priceless if you don't have air tools. I did it myself and it was my first full lift kit install. I had to buy a 35mm socket for the axle nut, otherwise no unusual tools needed. The kit comes with shorter tie rod ends. A lot of other kits require you to cut your tie rods.
