Mirror Glass

So I cracked my mirror drivers side and bought replacement glass off ebay. It looked like you just push and snap the new glass on with the backing plate. I couldnt install it and eventually broke the new glass because I was tryin so hard. Should I buy a whole mirror $80- 120 or try again with the replacement glass/backing plate $20? Chevy dealer quoted me $200 for a whole mirror!

If there is nothing wrong with the mirror housing and glass mounting then why replace the whole thing? Just buy another glass replacement panel and take your time with the install or have a second person look at it.

got my power mirror complete, looks, operates same as oem for about $45

dont bother trying to replace the glass and dont go to a dealer.

Look on Ebay, there's a lot of good deals there.
