Vinyl Cover Care

i noticed after our week of rain that my trifecta cover has some whiteish spots along the edges. im guessing its some form of wear on there as it wouldnt wipe up with the trusty spit and finger method. so getting this late into the season i wanna put soemthing onto it to protect it. would i be safe with some form of rubber and vinyl product or do i need to get a vinyl product from the boat section? ive got a meguirs leather vinyl and plastic shine, wondering if thats any good or should i get a specific vinyl protectant for it?

They make a Product for tonno covers called 303 Protectant which works real well in preserving the cover itself. Check it out online idk who would handle it locally though?
