Leather Lost Its Luster

Yeah I bought used and I still love it but the leather in the driver's seat has scaled the coating they place on it. Its just not the same as the rest. Any solutions?

you can usually find factory replacement covers on eBay if you look around, sometimes they are take offs, sometimes new never installed. That would be the best route in my opinion.

 

Other options are to let a dealer or upholstery shop replace it or even replace the entire interior. My current is the first I've ever had with leather, I keep it conditioned and I'm hoping for many years of service from it without any issues.

Just curiosity, how many miles does your truck have?

Sounds like who ever owned the truck before you didnt take care of the leather by conditioning it.

55K on the truck and I agree. I have had leather once before and I loved it. Like... I-loved-it. Took it out of the sun whenever possible, conditioned, glossed it. I spent time with it and I plan on doing the same for this leather. I just used some Lexol and it was nice and soft but now I need slick and shiny too
