I have been doing the workouts for a week now and feel like I have had my calves smacked with a sledgehammer! I am at work right now, and can barely walk. Hoiping the end results are worth the pain, lol! Just wondering if anyone else is/has used this program, and did it work for you?

I do this now, the muscle pain will go away after you do this a couple of weeks but your muscles will still be sore after the workouts as long as you are pushing yourself through them. Also, keep in mind that if you want to even get close to the results they claim, diet is huge. Getting that dialed in is key. This is the part I have a problem with, I eat well all week but I love pizza on the weekends, lol.

Also, if you have questions go to their forums they really do help you out and respond in a timely manner...

Yup, did the whole 90 days. Lost about 28 lbs, got down to 165. Yes, the diet is a huge part of the program. I cut out all soda, majority of sugar, no fast food, all chicken and veggies. The workouts are tough, no doubt. Stay with it, you won't be dissapointed.

I am just tryin' to stay under 1500 calories (grilled fish, chicken, and fruits/veggies) drink a ****load of water, and make it through phase 1. I think I may repeat phase 1 if I see good results, before moving to phase 2. It kills me that guy is 50 and goes through those workouts like nothing. I guess it is his job though! Check for the modified move...

does it have anything to do with the P90 submachine gun?
No, I don't think so Kev, lol.

Keep in mind that Tony Horton has probably been working out like this all of his life and has never been overweight. LOL

I started a second round doing the doubles program about a month ago while taking a creating supplement and gained about 5 lbs. I stopped that now cause my goal is to cut fat not gain muscle.

I read somewhere that Tony's personal diet is insane. No Meat, no dairy, no alcohol, low sugar. That is my problem as well, I like beer :0(

My wife and I started it last spring. It was tough to keep up being out of town here and there and we ended up stopping. Our plan is to start it again the Monday after Thanksgiving (mainly because we will be out of town for a few days). It is a great workout, like many have stated its the food thing that kills you, me included

I tried starting that last week, but I've been so busy with work I failed at making it a commitment. I was pretty sore, but a key to the soreness is to drink plenty of water, at least twice what you should normally and to stretch any and every chance you get. If you did your workout right you will still be sore, but they can help you recovery and shorten the time your really sore.

I'll just keep plugging away at it.... I am looking to just lose weight myself. I started at 248lbs and would like to see 205 before its all said and done. A guy here at work is doing it, and talked me into tryin it out. The diet SUCKS, but I want results!

I have been drinking at the minimum 80oz. of water per day

Jason, I've used it before a couple different ways. Creatine help to make more muscles, but it also hydrates your muscles so you recover quicker and are stronger quicker. If you still have some try using it in half doses, follow the directions on loading but then after that cut the dose to half and see if that helps. That seemed to really help me feel less sore quicker, which helps you push harder and get more out of every workout.

Yea, I was not taking the recommended dosage on the container just one serving after my lifting work out. I agree it did help in my recover and making my muscles less sore but the muscle gain is what I want to avoid. Gaining muscle has never been an issue for me just cutting fat, which like I said before I know is related to my diet which still perplexes me cause I do not eat fast food or junk out of a box but I do like to go out to eat once or twice a week...

I was once over 250 (about 4 - 5 years ago) I started training and got down to 200 at my best and was able to maintain 205 for quite some time. Did one round of P90X and maintained (maybe gained a pound or two) but saw definite results in muscle tone. I took a month off and then started the doubles routine with the creatine and within the first two weeks, I gained 5lbs easily. I would like to maintain my current size and just try to get more defined. That is my dilemma.

1500 Calories? Damn cuttin it low! Make sure you don't go too low because the extra demand with the workouts will deplete glycogen stores and if there's not enough daily calories, your body will start storing fat and catabolizing muscle tissue instead of building it- all fat will get stored because your body thinks it needs to conserve energy and lean tissue is the first energy source your body goes to after sugars are used up. You may lose weight but you don't want it to be from lean tissue...cause then your body fat % will actually be higher and your resting metabolic rate will actually be lowered.

...I studied this stuff lol.
