What Do I Need To Change Bumper?

Some jerk hit my truck on the front right corner.. don't know when/where.

Rippled the chrome.. bent bumper slightly up from fog light to wheel well. I plan on either buying a new bumper or finding a 'like-new' at the local parts yard. My question is: Do I need anything in addition to the chrome bumper? I read some threads about rivets.. but those guys were doing the Denali conversion, changing upper & lowers. Thanks..

If you replace the complete bumper, no need to worry about rivets. These rivets are used to hold individual bumper pieces together I believe.

I thought the rivets were in the rear bumpers because they are 3 pieces... Didn't know there had them on the front bumper..... You could always step up to some Tough Country bumpers and next time they will leave a piece of there car with you...

I hope it works out. Ive been a victim of hit and run twice now. Ive decided my next truck Im adding a Rough Country type back bumper with a big ass hitch so they leave half their car with me.

A simple triball trailer reciever hitch is good enough to remove bumper covers from bmw's when blonds on cell phone hit it and try and back off......

if somebody could perhaps invent a bumper that looked exactly like OEM but was made of steel...that would be awesome..be hard as heck though.

Took front end apart. Did a little bending & hammering.. actually got the bumper back to 90% original. Decided to hold off on buying a new bumper for now.. alot of other expenses coming up.

My ques: What polish/cleaner should I use to remove that green paint & shine up the chrome to like-new??? Thanks..

you could wet sand it? or try some mother chrome polish. or i would think some lacquer thinner would probably take it off in about two seconds.. might want to test it in an inconspicuous spot first though
