vanettend Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 I will be in the market for a new truck in april of 2011, i have been looking around for half tons with the 6.2 but all i have found is a few LTZ or Denalli trucks. All I am looking for is a LT or a SLE with the 6.2 and the Z71 how am i ever going to find one in april if I cant find one now. Any suggestions, maybe go to the few dealers and tell them if they have what i want come april i will be buying?
RyanbabZ71 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 Just order one. You will be hard pressed to find what you are looking for.
snarkee Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 order in feb...for me it has always been cheaper to order vs finding one somewhere
vanettend Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 There are a ton of 5.3 out there but I bought my 2006 knowing that the afm was coming and I want nothing to do with that, hence the 6.2. I know the afm is probably fine by now (oil consumption issue), but something about constantly shutting down and activating those cylinders rubs me the wrong way
vanettend Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 when is the cut off for being able to still get a 2011 if i were to order one
RyanbabZ71 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 cutoff usually is the end of April for the current model year
vanettend Posted December 1, 2010 Author Posted December 1, 2010 if you special order a truck do you still get the factory rebates ect...
becker87 Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 You could just come to ND, saw a few on the lot the other night.

You will be hard pressed to find what you are looking for. +1 If your not in a hurry, and don't need a new truck right away order one the way you want,Thats what I do,I get tired of hearing guys say...."I bought a new truck,it has everything I want, except the 6.2,or the power-fold mirrors,or a sliding rear window,or"...well you get the idea!
MS3DALE Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 if you special order a truck do you still get the factory rebates ect... Yes,You get whatever rebates is out at the time of delivery.

Time of purchase not delivery. Some people have it delivered but wait to purchase. My Tahoe came in Feb 27th, rebates ended the 28th. They hurried up and got it ready for me to pick up on the 28th. Good thing it saved me about 2K in rebates

Yea after I typed my reply that is exactly what I thought, to hard to go back and edit what I typed. I guess I was just clarifying
Egghaus Posted December 1, 2010 Posted December 1, 2010 When I ordered my truck I was 'locked in' with the incentives at the time of order, but once the truck was delivered, there were additional programs and I ended up getting an extra $1750 off my truck.
