Problem Filling Tank

I have a 2008 GMC Sierra W/T with the 4.8L Auto. For the past month or so I have had issues filling up the tank on my truck. It will fill for about one second then the pump will automatically stop. Sorry for being vague, im not real sure exactly how to say it. But I can't get a constant stream of fuel into the tank. It will for a second or 2 and them pop back. It's annoying as it would take about 30 minutes to fill the truck up. Any ideas? I searched and only found problems with older model trucks. I will continue to search though.

Could have a problem with the evap vent, if it is stuck closed it will not release pressure for tank refueling. I assume you do shut the engine off when refueling. Something like that should set a check engine light also.

Mine does it as well. Mostly at Sunoco's or Bp's. I believe because the flow of their pumps is much faster ( you can hear it pumpin fast) and it backs up the filler neck and shuts the pump off. The local dealer told me to just pull up on the nozzle and it has worked for me. I usually just shove the cap under the pump to hold it up a little and that works.

That is exactly what I do, works great.

My '08 Yukon is hard to fill at times. I have found that if I don't top it off, it is easier to fill next time. My neighbor has the same trouble with his late model GTO. The Yukon is the only car I have ever had trouble filling the tank. The dealer blames the pump nozzles at certain gas stations.
