All Ready For 2010/11 Winter....

just got my snow tires on today (plus alignment), put the receivers on the truck and mounted and tested the plow. all seems well and ready to go. looking forward to some wet stuff.

Did ya change the fluid in the plow too?

 

The homies at the bar up here all laughed at me and broke my balls all day some weeks ago when I had the plow mounted on the truck changing the fluid and wrenching bolts while sippin' a cold one on a 75 degree day gettin' the rig ready for our usual "lake effect machine" to get going!

 

Good thing too cause it ain't stopped blastin' since LAST Tuesday!

77....................Yea............I am north of Syracuse in the notorious "Tug Hill" lake effect blizzard land where they measure daily snowfall by the FOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

We got at least 2 FEET since yesterday and it ain't stopped yet !!!!

 

Haven't seen any sleds out yet as the homies don't know how to prepare ahead of time and be ready for ridin' !!!!! Most wait till the last minute as in the day it dumps a ton of snow then discover their sled don't run or it breaks down out on the trail !!!!!!!!!!

 

Oh well.........Im ready!

The GFS showed a big coastal storm on many runs for a direct hit for my area, now it is trending OTS and further OTS on latest 0z run. Also now is showing a warm up after xmass. Just picked up a new account last night, a $600 driveway to plow, and am swaying to think that this is not gonna be a good year for NJ for snow. Hope I am wrong on it. Usually when we our in a stong La Nina, the west gets alot of snow, while east doesn't fair so good. It snowed some last night here, picked up a 1/4" . I just don't feel good about this season.

Me too bud! Mine are loaded and will be on their way to my family's cabin on the lake, for the season, promptly after 5 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.

 

Now I just hope the well pump didn't freeze too bad seeing as how somebody forgot to plug that heater in a few months ago.

at the end of the day we can't control it so if we get snow and pounded then so be it and if not there is always next year.
