Factory Order Vs. Buying Off Of The Lot - 2011 Silv/sierra

I went to my prefered dealer to purchase my 2011 in late december of 2010. They didn't have what I wanted so they got out their options list and I picked everything I wanted on the truck/color that I wanted. They then found the truck that exactly matched what I picked and went and picked it up about 5 hours away. They brought it back and then i waited until the first of the year to get away with not paying personal property tax in 2011 on the truck and I sold my previous dodge ram a couple days before january. I was out of a truck for a few days, but got exactly what I wanted and they also got more factory rebates soon as the new year rolled around. I ended up getting 5500 in rebates, great financing and a few bucks more off from the dealer on the exact truck I wanted. Pretty much the same as ordering except I only waited a few days :)

Went to the GMC dealer last night.

Their internet sales girl wasn’t in, (contact from GMC .com “build your own truck inquiry ) so I was introduced to another sales girl, a 105 lb lady with a “D” set of boob’s on her…. was like “wow, where do I sign” LOL.

And without a wondering eye when talking to her, she was saying with the Auto show finishing up in Detroit and then the one currently in Buffalo, starting mid –month they’re offering a $1000 incentive. And for those with a GM card, they’re topping them off to $2000 till the end of the month.

So $2000 for Customer money rebate, $1000 for GM Loyalty, $1000 for Auto show, and if they top off the card…$2000 , so a possible $6000 off.

*** Question to those who may know……… I work for a GM Supplier.

I didn’t mention that last night, but how does that play into the negotiating process.?
