Hydroboot On A 02 Ext Having Problems Need Help

i have my escalade that seem to be giving me all the problems in the world my abs light is on and the truck works perfect so i disconnect the battery and the abs light turns off and my brakes dont work no more it makes funny noise and just dont stop keeps on rolling and now the truck dose not want to run after that it idels but dosnt run then all of a suden it wiil run i changed the hydroboost and the master cylinder and still dose it any idead thx

If your problem now is just the brakes, you may need to take somewhere with a Tech ll or similar scanner and have the brakes rebled. The scanner is needed to actvate the abs to allow it to bleed properly.

If I could understand your question, I would help as best as I can.

 

Hydro-boost brake assist is just that, assist. It has nothing to do with an ABS light or the ABS system. It sounds like you have an MPA switch issue which is a common issue on 02 Escalades. Disable the ABS brake system and try your pedal then. You will need the updated MPA switch and the correct GM scan tool to perform the MPA bleed, if that's the case.
