Creaking Bed (frame?)

Ok when i pull into my driveway my truck is really groaning.  I can hear some creaks from the back (bed?) of my truck.  These arent horrible but is there anything i can do to quiet them down?

 

Anyone find a solution?

I wish I had an answer for you Ryan, only thing I can think of is maybe spring bushings, because its flexing when your pulling in. You might try and spary some wd-40 or similar product on the spring bushings that are on the shackles.

I know its a shot in the dark, but its worth a try

WHat about replacing the bushings?  Energy suspension products any good?  They dont have any applications for our trucks (am i maybe missing it?)

When I had my Firebird (years ago), I looked into these bushings.  One of my friends went out and bought them for his mustang.  They performed well, but were very noisy.  Not sure if they have changed...

 

My buddy has a 2000 chevy pickup that does the same thing.  After listening to his, it does sound like his springs are making the noise.  I'd try some spray lube at first to localize the noise, then find a good fix.

Are you sure it isn't the cab bolts where your Westin bars bolt on in the back?  Mine creaked on my Silverado excab, and it sounded like it was coming from the bed of the truck...

Mine does the same thing. I spray WD-40 on the spring shackles every couple of weeks and it stops the creaking. Seems easier to do this than change the bushings since I will be trading the truck next year anyway.

I had some creaks from the back of my crewcab shortly after I bought it. It is more noticeable when going around corners. The dealer found that it was caused by my aftermarket running boards that were installed at a local accessory shop. The dealer repositioned the bolts and recommended adding rubber washers between the hardware and frame. The creak came back after awhile and I have not found the time to add any rubber washers. Also, the dealer did not charge for the work, even though it was not a warranty job!!

The creak in the rear of my truck is definitely the springs. My nerf bars used to creak but I fixed that with rubber washers.
