Handles Great In The Snow!

These trucks seem to handle very well. I have the traction control that I am not impressed with but, I love the stabilatrac. It just keeps the truck straight very wlll. Just wish it had a button to turn it off quicker than holding the button down for 5 secs or so.

I agree that the GMT-900 handles better in the snow that any truck I've driven before, I also like the traction control for the most part too.

5-8" coming tomorw, we'll see about the AWD. if i remember last year we only had a dusting and it was very surefooted. love the AWD for the wife, she is one who would leave it in 4hi even though there's automatic in the selectable vehicles we've owned.. she just didn't care what i said, snow 4hi all day long (was another selling point for me, especially in the rain here in the summer, lots of hwys with terrible parking lot exits). My 2007 SRX was good in the snow, not sure if that AWD was the same though?

I just drive home is the slushy crap, I am very impressed with how stable it is.

I turned traction control off to see the difference and she will break loose pretty easy with it turned off. With it on the truck is rock solid and never gets out of line.

The AWD will be fine as long as you have good tires, you should not have any problems. My girl has an 08 Equinox with AWD and drove to and from work through the storms last year (8-16" of snow).

My wife demanded a car this time. Uhg. I talked her into an awd buick lacrosse and it is great in the snow. Took it in 10 inches of snow and it didn't spin a tire. Still not as good as our 4*4 envoy was.

We are still getting it hard here in the Norfolk, VA area. I have 9" in my yard. They are calling for 8-12". WE NEVER GET THIS MUCH SNOW !!

I have been driving this AWD machine all morning long and it is quite amazing how the on board computer takes control of the drivetrain when you start sliding and applies braking to some wheels and power to others.

I can't seem to make it loose control. It always pulls me out of a slide.

However, turn off traction control, and I could easily wreck it.

Pretty amazing software
