Do i need an amplifier installed to my 2007 Silverado WT classic? It has a GM truck stock 6 cd changer radio which came from an avalanche or higher trim Silverado. But the thing is, how can I install this amplifier? The radio works well, but the volume is insufficient to meet my satisfaction. Please help me on this question, this issue has bothered me for two years.

I installed a low level converter which converts speaker wire to rca output. Check with a local stereo shop for converter and installation for year and radio.

No sir, it doesn't have a Bose system at all. Every speaker works, even the chimes, but as mentioned, the volume doesn't satisfy me. I want better. What is rca?

Locate your rear speaker wires, driver's side cab corner. Cut wires 6 inches from cab corner. Color of wires are left front + light brown, - light grey, right front + light green, - green, left rear + brown, - yellow, right rear + blue, - light blue. Connect wires to converter following it's wiring diagram. A 12 volt antenna/remote turn on is on the back of radio plug. Use a volt-meter to find it. Color for wires is from a 1999 silverado. Verify for your year, if gm changed colors.
