mbaee Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 Has anyone seen the American Pride Camaro SS? It seems to be making its way around the country at various car shows. I saw it at the Philly International Auto Show this past week. It's a beautiful car full of American history. I highly recommend checking it out in person if you can. Here's some pics that I took with my cell phone: More photos HERE (not mine).
700 sportsman Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 I do believe it is indeed a hand air brushed paint job. I think it is amazing all the detail, it looks a bit busy but it represents so many things very well.
KMGZ400 Posted February 7, 2011 Posted February 7, 2011 i went to the philly auto show and stood next to it, its sure as hell is a real paint job
mbaee Posted February 7, 2011 Author Posted February 7, 2011 It's absolutely real. Here's an in-depth video including an interview with the artist who painted it. You can clearly see him airbrushing it.
Superperv23 Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 That is an insane amount of airbrushing, anyone know how many hours it took?
MS3DALE Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 I've seen that car at the GM-Nationals at Carlisle,Its a paint job for sure!
ryan_hermanutz Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 That is an insane amount of airbrushing, anyone know how many hours it took? The artist said about 300 hours.
yukon25008.1 Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 That car is amazing to say the least.. and the word TALENT isnt enough for that man that did the work.
renegadeking Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 that takes skill and i mean a lot of it. the guy did an amazing job on the car.
Wingnut Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 It's a lot of work, and I can recognize the talent, but if somebody gave me that car, I'd strip it right off. Sooo ugly.
Zembonez Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 That's tacky as hell. I'd rattle can it flat black and drive the hell out of it.
Wingnut Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Pretty much. Or sell it and buy something faster
highspeedvehicle Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 That's one nice looking paint job on a wicked car.
