Well as some of you do remember iam expecting a newborn here soon and recently i just got a house. 5 bedroom 2 full bath with a huge backyard and right across from a park. House was built years ago but it works for me though. I have also decieded im going to sell my truck. I dont really wanna but iam just for the more cab space and lower ride for a couple years. The truck im probably gonna buy is a 2004 chevy 6litre extended cab with the sucide doors. Its a charcoal color. I like it.

But anyways i have been working my ass off. Were talking 12hour days 6 days a week and on sunday sleep in till 9am maybe and start working on shit thats been building on my personal list. Let me tell you what it gets bigger and bigger.

But the thing that bugs me is that i work all these hours and im tired and sore when i get home its 7ish and i still have to cook supper and clean the house, feed the cat and fish then do some random shit. My girlfriend sits and watches tv all day. I understand she is pregnant and all but still haha its getting annoying. Im paying for everything and doing everything around here. Haha did you guys experience the same thing or something similar? Im just hoping to have some alone time this weekend and get drunk and pass out on the couch or something haha.

I bought a crew specifically for carseat space, check out a carseat in an extended before you buy.

Sorry about the GF, sounds too late to do much about it though.

Isnt that how you got into the pregnant situation? :wtf:

Enjoy your free time as little as it is because once that little curtain climber hits the deck your really in for a busy time!

Women all deal with it differently, be carful how you approach it if you do talk to her about it, they are really touchy when pregnant.

I was a single dad for the first 5 years of my daughters life, her mom split when she was 3 months old, and at the time I was working 2 jobs 15 hours a day.

When my daughter was 6 I married the woman I am with now and she has been a blessing with helping care for my child.

all i can tell you is that when that child is born none of the other stuff matters, you will do what you have too to be sure your child is provided for. Work, Chores, Money, etc these are just things and you will get thru it, to quote a cliche "what doesn't kill you........"

drinking though.. not sure if that is an escape or not.. but we all deal with stress in our own way... I prefer and have the ability to put on some hard core music and take one of my cars to a drift track a few times a year and tear that shit up...

My recommendation, having seen some of my friends make bad decisions:

Until you are 30, do not-

Get married

Get pregnant

Get engaged

Live together

If you get engaged, wait 1 year before marriage.

If you get married, wait 1 year before GETTING pregnant.

Folks can ACT for months, its hard to keep up an act for YEARS.

Is her mother lazy also?

I am married, have a child, and I also grew up with 3 older sisters who all have kids and a family. No, it is not normal for a pregnant woman to sit on her butt all the time. Usually during this time in their life they are "nesting". Watching reality TV is not good for anyone, and even worse for a pregnant woman.

Get some free time and do something together. Remember, you are a father now, not just a dude. Get used to it because you have a lot of time to be doing this.

My wife is pregnant with our first child and she is working 12 hour night shifts (7pm-7am) as a nurse. She never complains and has always had a full time job since I met her. I'm lucky I guess. :D

Seriously though, that doesn't sound right. I've got 6 kids and with each pregnancy my wife couldn't sit still, she was constantly up cleaning, "nesting" as roofer put it. I even caught her once at 3am scrubbing cabinet handles in the kitchen. Hopefully your girl will start picking up the slack once the baby is here.

 I just had a similar situation, wifes been back to work last month or so since maturnity leave, she noticed something was buggin me, she made th mistake of asking, I told her she needs to keep the house a little cleaner, all i do is come home and clean it all weekend on my days off, She was a very pissed off little cadet, but she shapped up, although I have to keep on her ass.

My wife didnt lay around or sit around while pregnant. She continued to work up until a week before her due date (she is a Physical Therapist which means she has to move people around etc). She played softball through summer (quit during fall). Doc said it was fine as long as she could phyiscally stand it. She did take off 3 months at first to take care of the lil guy which I was fine with. She then went to work full time for a few months then dropped to part time (3 days a week) because she missed him. I didnt mind to much I gave her a hard time but all in fun. I wish she could stay home all the time with him but the income is nice  She has since went to 4 days a week because the lil one really enoys daycare and being around the other kids (we dont because of all the germs hehe).

All I can say is good luck.
