I went to the race track Saturday had a blast. A friend of mine brought his 2wd Tundra Standard cab 5.7L w/exhaust. We had a blast raced several times, man who ever got off the line first won the race. We cut some good lights, but traction was awful our best race I hit the light @ .066 and he hit the light @ .214 :lol: my time was 14.451 @ 96.01mph and his was 14.33 @ 97.81mph he had a faster time but was asleep on the line so I won I got video as soon as I learn how to put it on you tube I will put the link up. My best time was 14.434 @ 97.56. I was very empressed with my heavy truck, he had street tire and I had all terrane tires we both spun bad need to get better tires I think I would have beat him everytime with a good tire on my truck.

Thought it might slow it down LOL Hell I don't know I should have tried it I guess I will next time has anyone done that and know if it slow it down on the top end of the qrt.

Next time you go it would be interesting to see a comparison between 2wd, auto and 4hi to see the effects.

 

 

Guess I don't want to tear anything up!! But I know me I got to try it and see.

Lol i was there and saw u run. Dont think i got any vids or pics. Those Tundras have 4.56 gears to. Track sucked because over winter they scraped all the rubber of track. It will get better as it did as more rubber was put on the track. Did u have ya stable lock off and shift manual? I picked up 2 tenths doing it. All the gm guys with trail blaze ss, camaros and trans ams were with us.

I left the traction control on with out it I spun way to bad I would run in the 15's I tried every combo there was LOL. What did your truck run?

Don't ever race with tc on. :P You'll never win.

 

 

Your absolutley right but on this day the track was awful and I was 1/2 second faster with the tc on, so I went with that. I will get some soft tires and launch with tc off I know it would be alot faster w/o tc. Thanks for the advice!!!
