Indy 500

Anyone ever been to the Indy 500? If so where did you sit? Where is the best place in your opinion to sit? I have the opportunity to get some discounted tix through work and thought it may be a good year to go? I have only been to the brickyard and sat between turn 1 and 2 (closer to 1) I forget what section it is.

18 year veteran. Section 76 inside on the front straight away. I have sat high up at the start/finish and in turn 4. Alot of action happens in Turn 4.

I have always sat in Section J or the NW Vista for all the events, always had fun.

I've only been to the 500 once, but a friend of my dad's had tickets right in the middle of turn 1, upper deck, first row. Don't know exactly what section that is though. Outstanding view of turns 1, 2, and 4.

 

We also got a police escort to and from the parking lot....man was that nice. It's funny to see the look on people's faces as you blow by them at 40+ and they're at a complete stop!

The corner Vistas let you see the most track. SW probably has the most action. Then NW. On the straights you see them only going by and maybe some pits. We used to always watch 1st day qualifiing from the Northwest Vista.
