Not exactly safe, but what can I do? (notice the bottom 2x4 splitting under load)

 

All you have to do is loosen (but NOT removing the nuts) the upper ball joint and the sway bar, then remove the lower shock mounts and squeeze in the lifting block, then reassemble. Very easy.

Here's why you must do an alignment right after leveling the truck - my caster was way out of whack (see blue circle):

Tire Kingdom. $150 for 3 years, as many times as I want.

 

1 time was $80... so, it was no brainer to go for $150/3 years. I guarantee you, I'll be having the alignment checked every few months

Now take that front valance and gain another 2" of visual lift! The truck looks awesome.

 

BTW- That's the way I'd install my lift, all red neck style.

It will not void the warranty. The dealer has to PROVE that it affects something to void the warranty for that specific part only, it will not void the entire warranty. Your dealership needs a refresher with the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.

Great write up. I'm considering the 2" RC kit also. I need to measure my garage door clearance first. It barely fits now.
