Went down to the underground parking at my condo this evening to head to work, only to find out my 4 month old truck is missing

 

Called onstar and the RCMP to report it stolen, Onstar had it located in about 15 minutes.

 

But I've been waiting for the police to go to the location and check it out.

 

 

Onstar said it looks like it's in a towing yard, I haven't missed a payment... and the building manager didn't have it removed... so I'm not sure what happened.

 

The police will update me whenever they get there

 

 

Regardless of the outcome, Onstar has a subscriber for life.

Woah! Yes definitely keep us updated! I have OnStar as well, with the directions and connections package as I do camping in places all over the province and it makes vacation time much less stressful. Very pleased with them.

Hope everything works out! I've been playing with OnStar a bit- tired the nav function for the first time tonight to "guide" me home from the pizza place in town. And the cell phone app is awesome- my flight landed late last night and once I got my bags I started the truck and by the time I crossed the terminal and got to the parking garage it was nice and warm inside.

I can't remember which on, but either that phone app or the My Chevy app will also show you where your truck is using GPS. It shows it on google maps I think.

Probably did it that way to see if you still were an Onstar subscriber. After a period of time, no one shows up to find the car, then they'll take it to where ever they want

I wonder if your vehicle was stolen without an onstar subscription would they tell you where it is? They would still know if you didn't subscribe

All they have to do is hack/knock off the shark antenna, snip wires, and then On-Star is no good.
