Things That Your Significant Other Does That Drive You Insane

I get myself ready and all 3 dogs at night (let em out, let em in, feed separate) , she goes and dries her hair and brushes her teeth. I lock up the house, set the alarm, make a casein protein shake for overnight and by the time I get to brush my teeth she is in bed. She has 3 alarms. Yes 3....15 minutes apart. I can wake up on the 1st one (and gladly wake her up when needed). I make breakfast and lunch for us, i get a her a drink in the morning from the gas station and if I play L4D2 with my spare time, I am not doing anything productive, yet I have done more than she has already. I am sorry that it takes so long to do your hair but damn, give me more lovin and I will gladly clean the house so you don't have to.

My complaint.....I leave the house at 7:15am....other than a 40 minute stop at home to walk the dogs and eat my Peanut Butter and Jelly sanswiches....don't get home till 11:30pm....my head hits the pillow at 1:30am, and I'm up at 5:30 to walk the dogs and start my day all over again (this does not include the 12 hours of O/T every other weekend).....and yet, I've got to ask permission to get $20 to put gas in my truck....I have no hobbies, no allowance, and anything I want is a waste of money....even something as simple as a new CB Antenna for my truck (got the CB free!)... ....but you can bet, she probably has her own list of complaints

Mine does the same with the dishwasher....and same with the memory, she even embelishes a little to add drama. Here's a good one....leaves everything open, nothing is ever totally closed....I can't tell ya how many times I've walked into the bedroom at night and walked into an open draw....door to the garge cracked open,....and then yells at me because we have a mouse....toothpaste open and crusty....sweeps the floor and won't walk 15 feet to the garbage to empty the scooper, I usually spill it ou tall over the floor when I grab the scooper next....

working those hours I have to assume you're bringing in a decent income. Sounds like you first two guys need new wimmenz. I don't mind helping around the house half of the time but if either of us is going to do more housework than the other it's going to be her.

 

I like having a girl around and all but I certainly don't NEED one. Life's too short to not do things my way and my way only.

All and all not too many complaints, its more of adjusting to each other (only been one month so far of actually living together). She always seems to have a long list of thing for me to do even though I leave the house for work normally 5 hours before her some times 7 or 8 hours and I get home the same time to maybe 30 minutes before her if I am lucky. I stop what I am watching to put something on we both like but she doesn't do the same most of the time. It never fails but every time i start to play a video game or watch a movie/show I want she has something she needs/wants me to do for her. She normally has something else waiting for me as soon as I finish the last thing and start back at what ever i was doing. If its my day off she is up nice and early with the day planed out with all the things she wants me to do but on days I have to be up she sleeps in (I miss being able to sleep in). I'm hoping most of this is just because like I said its our first month of actually living together and we also moved into a new place. She is also able to remember everything, every detail of what happens (in favor of her point of view) and how I remember things is always wrong (according to her).

She's living comfortably.....I can't say what the totals are (I don't know), I have direct deposit from both jobs into her checking account.....all I know is that the key still unlocks the front door, and my truck is still in the driveway in the morning....then she complains that I'm walking around like a zombie

the biggest issue I have with my wife is the refrigerator.. She keeps everything else in the house and garage organized but for some damn she just puts crap anywhere in the freezer and refrigerator..

 

 

my wife is a stay at home mom, she was laid off 3 years ago and we decided it was better for her to stay home for our daughters sake, since I work stupid hours, so the house is always spotless, I get home cooked meals every night, and for the most part she does everything around the house since I work 12 hour days sometimes 6 days a week..

My wife is pretty good, she cooks, cleans, does the laundry, when I wake up in the morning my clothes for the day are laid out and my lunch is packed and waiting for me, when I get home a hot meal is on the table, I leave my clothes, socks, shoes laying where I removed them and I am not expected to pick them up (get told to leave em if I do) and she is for sure not hard to look at, and I am never told "NO" if ya know what I mean

 

Now the bad part, she is VERY needy emotionally which makes it hard for me to get my outside "boy stuff" done because when I am not working she wants to be glued to my hip, the thing that drives me most insane tho is when I am WORK (she is a stay at home mom) and something doesn't go right at home my phone is blowing up venting it all to me WTF I can't fix it I am 40 miles away earning the money you love to spend.......... Guess I don't have much to bitch about I have all the toy's I want My everyday Yukon XL, a Jeep Cherokee on 6.5" lift and 35's, a Banshee sporting a 410 BB kit and cool head, Ninja ZX6, Travel Trailer etc

Where to start? How does she drive me insane? Let me count the ways....

She'll pull a load of clothes out of the dryer and just set them down. Doesn't fold them and put them away; just sets them down wherever she feels like it. I'll pull the clothes out of the dryer and fold them and put them away. I was folding a load of clothes the other night and she actually sat down and started talking to me about something. She must not have seen the clothes that were being folded as she didn't even attempt to help.

 

When she finishes eating, she'll just place her dish on the island counter. Doesn't scrape the remaining food into the trash can. Did I mention that the trash can sits at the end of the island counter? She has to just about walk around the trash can to set her dish (with food in it) on the counter.

 

Now, I remember why she doesn't scrape the remaining food into the trash can. She'll continue piling stuff in the trash can until the lid won't close. I'll get home from work and go to throw the junk mail in the trash, and the bag will be so full that the top will not close completely. And when she finishes off her 12 pack of Diet Cokes, the empty box goes where? Right by the trash can. It's only about 30 steps to the outside trash can. Do I need to leave a map to show how to get to the outside trash can?

 

Dishwasher? Who needs a dishwasher? I'll take the clean dishes out of the dishwasher and put them away. That way, it makes it a whole lot easier to put dirty dishes in the dishwasher. Oh, but wait, her dirty dishes are sitting on the end of the island counter, with food still in them.

 

I get out the other afternoon and wash/dry and get to work on her Tahoe trying to remove some of the light scratches on the sides. She comes out and I'm thinking she's going to help some. Wrong...she brings out her folding chair, her E-reader, and cigarettes, and sits there reading and smoking while I'm busting my a$$ to make her Tahoe look nice. And, then she has the nerve to tell me I need to do something about the rear bumper, where SHE backed into a pole and pushed the side of the bumper in a bit, and driver rear quarter panel, where SHE scraped a guard post around a gas pump. Which she thought was funny when I asked what had happened.

 

She was nice enough to bring the vacuum out the next afternoon and vacuumed her Tahoe out. But when she finished, did she take it back in and put it up. Oh no, that would be too much trouble. She put the vacuum in my boat and left it sitting there. Guess she thought I needed to vacuum my boat out.

 

Now, we're getting ready to head to the beach...she said last night that she wanted to leave around 8 am. Here it is 9:30 am and she is just now getting out of bed, even after I've tried to wake her up to tell her it was past 8:00. Now, she'll be pissy all day long because no one woke her up, even though her alarm clock went off 4 different times after she hit the snooze bar. Which brings me to another point...when the alarm clock goes off, either get up and get ready or turn the damn thing off completely. No sense in hitting the snooze bar 4 or 5 times, then having to rush to get ready, and wind up being late for work. And, then get pissed at me for not waking her up?

 

I'm a stickler for being on time. She's going to be late for her own funeral. She cannot get to where she needs to be on time to save her life!!! She is consistently 10 to 15 minutes late for everything. I've even pulled the AIS (Ass in Seat) stunt from Everybody Loves Raymond, when he leaves Debra at home because she isn't ready at the appointed time. Doesn't matter...she was still late for her grandmother's funeral!!!

 

Those little switch things that turn lights on and off? Yep, light switches...she must think that they are only used to turn a light on. She can walk in a room, turn a light on, and walk right back by the light switch and not turn it off. Hey dumbass, the switch works both ways, up turns the light on, down turns the light off (unless it is a 3-way switch).

 

And, no matter how many times I've tried explaining and showing her how an AC thermostat works, she seems to think that in the middle of summer, when it is 100°F outside, if she turns the thermostat down to 60°, it will magically be 60° in the house. It doesn't work like that sweetie. If it is 100 outside, the AC will be doing good to make it 80 in the house. The AC could run all day and night and it will never reach 60.

My wife tried to help out one time by cutting grass to surprise me. I appreciate this BUT I have a pretty large 33" Widecut self propelled mower and when she went by the back of the yard there isnt much room with the shed. She didnt slow down and it got away from her and went through the fence. She stopped because it was stuck. I get home and was like WTF. I thanked her for the effort but kindly asked if she would no longer cut grass. Sounds crazy but I enjoy cutting grass and washing the vehicles (which she doesnt like me doing which is not as much as I used to).

 

She does dishes, we both cook (she is off Mon/Fridays and I het home before her Tues-Thurs). We both clean and fold clothes. We lived together for 2+ yrs before getting married so I knew what I was in for.
