Water Out Of The Cat....

I made a post the other day about my truck running strange. It came up with a 0030, Random Misfire once. I havent been able to get a code since, check engine light isnt on. before i recieved the code I sent the truck into the shop to get a tune up. It had been running funny about a month before and lost fuel pressure. I had the fuel pump replaced by a dealer. It ran fine for a month or so, then since then it seems to misfire while attempting to maintain speed, usually between 2000 and 3000 rpm. Ive cleaned the MAF, Replaced the ignition coil, tune up about a month ago, fuel pump about 2 months now.

The other day i was driving it for a small drive, came home to park and had water leaking out of my rear cat...what could cause there to be water in the cat?

Water is a byproduct of combustion - perfectly normal to have some condensation dripping from the exhaust system after a short drive. If it's coming from any seams or flanges, then that's a leak. The mufflers usually have a small hole in them for it to drain out.

As for the random misfire, that could be anything from a fuel injection problem, a crank sensor, to an ignition problem. I had that happen to my wife's winter vehicle - a '00 GMC Jimmy. After all the issues I had with that vehicle, the 0300 was the last straw. Got so frustrated tracking the issue down that I parted it out & replaced the vehicle with an '89 S10 Blazer. No more check engine light, lol.
