Locking Rear End

Hey

 

I have a 2002 2500hd with a Eaton G80 locking rear end in it that has seen better days. The kid I work with bought a 2009-2010 1500 Z71 All-Terrain and was bragging that it had a electronic locker in it. I crawled under and dont see anything to indicate it is electronic and couldnt find that as an option online. I am wondering if there is any possibility of this and also if his is a G80 and I put a new G80 in mine will it lock up like his

Yes he has the G80. You both have the same locker.

gov-loc, very common, very old design, not very well liked.
