Corsa Install Cost

I am looking at getting the Corsa Sport side exit for my 07' CC NNBS. I have read that the install can be DIY. I just don't trust myself enough. So, my question is, for those of you that have paid to have your system installed by a shop, what has been the average price for it? Just the install not the exhaust.

$50- $75 for 30 minutes of work, not worth it in my opinon unless you have a way to get under teh truck and cut out the stock exhaust system as I don't think it will slide out without cutting.

i installed mine myself. it was very simple. hardest part was cutting the stock pipe with a hack saw. took about 10 minutes and some sweating but it worked out. you can rent a power saw zaw from some auto parts stores which will make it easier. i know o'reilly carries them.

a couple of tips i could give you, remove the spare tire first, and be sure the rear of the truck is jacked up or on ramps. i did mine with the rear tires on ramps and that was it.

local muffler shops will only give you a quote after they see the system. i never got a straight answer out of the local ones here so i just did it myself. it was A LOT easier than the dual exhaust on my camaro which i did myself, and that was a PITA!

Yeah the stock exhaust will come out in one piece. At least on the GMT800s. Before I settled in on a Corsa, I had my stock exhaust on and off several times without cutting.

the stock exhaust will come out in one piece, although it will take some creative jacking or an auto lift.

The Corsa is simple to install. Just unbolt at the y-pipe, then hit each rubber hanger with some wd-40 and pop them loose. once the original system is out then just replace with the pieces. Corsa is a high quality system, there should be no issues with the install (someone said something about bending pipes, must have done something wrong or ordered for the wrong part number).

I spoke with Corsa (this was several years ago) & they do not make systems for 1500HD trucks. The Quadrasteer system also added some clearance issues.

What is important is correct engine size. Watching Ebay I was able to purchase a new Corsa system from a GM dealer on clearance for $300. Well worth it for having to add a few bends.

that explains it. The way the initial post sounded it made it out to be an issue with the Corsa design. Yes, the motor size is the first and most important, the HD and Quadrasteer is unique so that was the cause of modification

I may have bought the one on my '03 from the same dealer, that's about what I paid... almost 1/3 of the best price I could find at the time
