Ride Rite Enough?

As the title states, my girlfriend has a bumper pull steel 93 Jackson 3 horse slant modified stock trailer and three horses. I have pulled this once with my 07 VMax CC and it sagged the rear a good bit but was still managable. I was looking into a set of the Firestone Ride-Rite helpers to level it out under load. I don't plan on hauling cross country put maybe a once a year trip 2-3 hours away and locally maybe once every other month. Is this to much for my truck? I really don't want to tear it up pulling this thing around. Thanks.

I'm guessin you're around 7500-8000 lbs with 3 horses in a steel slant? Should be fine for you're Vmax. I think they're rated for 10,000 ish, but check your combined GVWR.

it depends just because its a vortec max docent mean it has the trailer pack. if it has the 3.73's its rated at like 8500lbs if its the 4.10 with trailer pack its like 10500lbs

Hi, Nick,

Air Lift Company has just joined the forum as a sponsor. If you have not yet beefed up your suspension, drop me a note and we can make some suggestions for you. We've been producing load support air springs, similar to the Ride Rites, for over sixty years. Your horses will appreciate the improvement in ride with either the Ride Rites or Air Lifts!
