You Might Be A Redneck If....

you set up lawn chairs in the bed of your truck to watch July 4th Fireworks instead of paying $10 for a spot on the grass at the local City Civic Center.

For real. We set up in the parking lot of a stripmall to watch the show last night.

yeah I couldn't believe it.. for the past 6 years it's been free.. This year it was $10 to park in the Civic Center Lot AND $10 for a spot on the grass to watch..

 

we parked in a parking lot across from the grass location for free, we just lucked out there was an open spot.. we were less than 100 feet from the pay for grassy area.. folded down the mid-gate and set up the lawn chairs in the bed..

 

I actually think it worked out better because when it was all over we were out of the area before the traffic nightmare started..

My wife's grandmother keeps one on the front porch. Right next to the busted TV sitting on the old living room end table. I love the old lady like she was my own grandmother, but damn thats redneck.

 

Thats bad coming from me though. I have a great uncle who wears his shrimping boots like house slippers, and he's not the worst one in the family. You think rednecks are bad? Can you say Coonass???

there is nothing wrong with putting blankets and pillows in your bed...done it many times...when you put a tarp and fill it full of water is when it gets crazy
