RC kit won't work. You already have Fabtech spacers under your strut, so you will have to go up top. I wouldn't go back to that shop for any more lift mods. I mean, they couldn't spot worn and added on parts?

I know right....don't get me started...I am NOT taking it back to them. Also the one and only local shop near my house in valdosta suggested the RC leveling kit....why would they do that..... glad to know it won't work....do you know what kit will work? I FEEL LIKE SOUTH GA IS SURROUNDED BY IDIOTS> THIS ISN'T ROCKET SCIENCE.

I am close to doing it myself now. I've never done this type of work before....I am going to call Fabtech tomorrow and see what they recommend for get the front and rear two inched higher

Dude, if I were you, I'd spend some time in that shop's service manager's office before I spent another DIME on lift parts. They cut up your truck because of THEIR IGNORANCE. I'd have them hanging by the balls because of that, imo, but that's just me.

That doesn't matter, at this point, imo. The shop that installed the lift didn't even tell the OP that there was already some sort of hokey leveling kit installed on the truck that was about to break and started cutting up his truck to "fix"

the issues of the tires rubbing. Now, while I do not think that the tires/wheels are correct for the lift that was installed the fact remains that the tech working on the truck neglected to even tell the customer about a previous modification that was made to the vehicle that was failing. That causes serious issues, if you ask me.

The techs at Fabtech will NOT recommend stacking another spacer on top of their kit, and they certainly won't warranty any parts if you you do. I'm not saying you can't do it, but no point in calling them. Fortunately for you, the angles with Fabtech are flat, so you can safely add 1.5-2" up front with a leveling kit. You can purchase any of the top mount kits, which cost a little more, but that's your only option. Intall is easy enough, so you shouldn't have any problems installing it yourself. Just remember to get it aligned again.

bs is 4.5 inches....the tech at Fabtech said it would work...don't realy want to go down that road again. I DO think it looks GREAT, if I can get the tires to clear with a leveling kit.

yeah...I am thinking daystar makes a kit.....in the rear I am just going to add springs to bring it up two more inches.....do you guys think that will hurt anything making the rear 2 inches higher?

Fabtech said it might cause drivetrain noise.....but they also wouldn't say if I could use a leveling kit up front.....but I think I can.

Nothing I can really do......what's done is done. The only reason the tires ever cleared were bc of those spacers. Without them they will not clear 20x9 wheels with 35 inch M/Ts AND FABTECH said in the beginning they would with only minor plastic trimming....That is CRAP.

I love the truck and I am going to get it figured out....I just need to find a good leveling kit fpt the front that mounts above the struts, get the shitty spacers out ASAP and I need to know if it is OK to add rear springs to get it two inches higher without affecting the drivetrain.

Ok heres the deal:

I have a fabtech with a 1.5" coil spacer on it that netted a total of 9" of lift in the front. (7.5+1.5). In the back i have the Fabtech rear block, add-a-leaf, and 1.5-2" rear lift shackle. My truck sits DEAD LEVEL at 47"s all around. Clears 35s no problem. No trimming, but i do have the front valence removed, i think it would clear it with it installed anyway, i just prefer the look without it. Ill post the links to the stuff u need in this thread.

Ok here is the front coil. I couldnt find the exact one i got, but that ones a cheap price, and its a 2piece. 1.5" top spacer and .5" bottom spacer. U just throw the bottom spacer out, or call them and see if they will sell just the 1.5" top coil spacer.

That looks to be exactly what i have, but its labeled a lil differently now. When i bought it was was called 1.5-2" and now they are just saying 1.75" That will do it for ya, make it perfectly level. I dont have any good pics yet and im out of town right now so I dont have any of my truck but ill see whats on my computer.

attached the only pics i have and they are all from my old shitty cellphone so I apologize. I got one in there that shows u the angles with the spacer in there. The nice thing about the fabtech is its a full diff drop so you can get away with the level kit and still have purdy angles

EDIT: Please excuse the nastiness off the lower control arms and underside of my truck. I have since crawled under there with a pressure washer and brush and scrubbed the entire thing clean and repainted it, and it looks like new again. In those pics it looks all rusty but its this brown crap they spray on the ground in the steel mills that coats the entire underside of your truck and needs scrubbed off.

OHHH and one more thing. That dude at the shop has to be blind.. Not only did he not see the bullshit coil spacer thing u had, but he also perceived the BDS kit as taller? theres no way. Ur setup has to be like minimum 2-2.5"s taller with that autozone spacer in there.
