I have tons of rock chips on my truck and thinking about getting linex color match on my rockers. The dealer here in kansas quoted me of 1,000 bucks. That seems very high to me. Anyone else got color match done, how much you pay?

Definately sounds high. You can get you entire truck bed done for $500.

That does seem a tad high... I'd call around and get some competing quotes.

could be high becuase of the color match. I know alot of places really don't like spraying anything but black. so they might be high balling you to try get you to switch black or to recoup loses from switching over. I would suggest if you do want to color match, find someone that will be spraying their bed the same color. If you're not in a rush either to can have the dealer call you when he would be switching the color for other jobs too.

Do it yourself. Spray on rocker gaurd (make sure its paintable) Mask it off, spray, let it dry then paint. You can even get spray can custom tinted by usuing your paint code at most Automotive parts stores. I usually pay about $30 a can. It seems expensive but its worth it to have it make perfectly... I have done this on a few cars and it looks like a million bucks for under $50.
