Squealing Tires?

I have the factory tires on the truck Goodyears and everytime I turn corners slowly left or right the front tires always squeal, its worse in drive thrus because the turns are so sharp.

Does anyone know why this would be happening?

The tires only have about 7500miles on them. Its almost like theres alot of push going on and the frt alignment looks good.

I'd have the alignment checked... and if it's good, then ignore it or put better tires on :D

it's the stock goodyear LS2's, my Sierra did it too. the bad news is that they'll do it when they're new or when they're worn down. i had almost 40K on mine and they *still* squeaked. concrete (sealed concrete) parking garages were the worst offenders.

That is normal for the 20" Goodyear LS2s. Don't worry about it. Mine did it on the bank parking lot tonight. Much more pronounced an asphalt surfaces that have been sealed.

The two sets of coopers I had didn't do it,... and the kumho's didn't do it... (Between 2 GMT-900's) :D

Maybe it's in the hardness of the tire. What tread wear do they have?

my (unsubstantiated) theory is that the LS2's are a particularly soft rubber compound.

Well I see I'm not the only one. I ll just have to wait till I need new rubber. In the mean time we should start a frt tire squealing club. L.O.L.

My wifes Tahoe does it with brand new tires and my truck does it with the Nittos. I just figured it was a GM thing. :D

My stockers do this as well, but seem to do it more after the Level kit, and I did get an alignment. I'm thinking mine might be a little low on air than they usually are. 09 Silvy.

I have 34000 miles on my LS 2's and they do the same thing all the time. I am looking at new tires soon and was considering Bridgestone Dueler Revo's but I figure on a tire that size they may all do the same thing

Every vehicle I have been in do that once in awhile, when you make a sharp turn the front tires are being pushed so thats why they squeal.

the goodyear LS2's do it very easily. more so than any tire ive ever owned.

Check to see if they are rubbing on your sway bar. I noticed when rotating my tires that the paint was gone on the sway bar where the LS2's were rubbing. Now I have Duratrac 285/60/R20 and no more squeaking, but I feel the side lugs rub the sway bar now. It did it before the leveling kit as well, but I would only hear it on rainy days.
