brianf60 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I'm trying to decide what tool box to get for 2011 Sierra. I want a side box because the regular boxes block too much sight out of the back window. I'm looking at the DeeZee Double Wheel Well Box or the Side mount over the rail style. Doesn't have to be a DeeZee....
brianf60 Posted August 11, 2011 Author Posted August 11, 2011 The bed is only 6 feet long, I don`t want to give up too much of it. width is never an issue for me...
delallen Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I'm sure you already decided on a box, but I posted this for people who are looking. I looked at many and settled on the Weathergaurd box. I liked many things about it such as the level holder, outside tie points and the clearcoat on the box itself. I liked the DeeZee also. Here's the pics:
sic lsx Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I don't care for the ones that go on top of bed caps. I like the ones that sit in bed kind of out of site.
RyanbabZ71 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Mine doesnt block to much of the rear window, its a low profile model I hardly even notice it and the sliding rear window still works fine
Blue Bear Farms Ent. Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 heres a tool box you might like... maybe if someone has one they could post a picture... because i would like to get one for my wifes truck. http://www.craftsman.com/shc/s/p_10155_126...mp;blockType=L7
brianf60 Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 UWS makes one like that but its moulded to go over the wheel well. Those low profile ones might be the way to go. I'm going to install a headache rack and measure it up to see how it will sit. Thanks guys!
TP@CLNC Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Low Profile FTW!! Chevyman23, That Delta Champion toolbox looks great on the black truck. How does it seem to be so far, pretty well made? Heck I got 8' foot of bed, that wouldn't take up much room, LOL.

8100 Power Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 For the over the rail toolboxes, what are you guys using to protect the paint? or just setting in on there?
Pender1 Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Reese-Towpower-S...at-2pk/16880804 put those on the bottom of the toolbox until I get my over the rail line-x, then it won't be a problem
TRCM Posted October 2, 2011 Posted October 2, 2011 http://www.walmart.com/ip/Reese-Towpower-S...at-2pk/16880804 put those on the bottom of the toolbox until I get my over the rail line-x, then it won't be a problem I would still put some rubber sheet between, or the Line-X will wear a hole in your toolbox eventually
