Recharging Batteries For 2007 2500hd Duramax Diesel And Owners Manual

Sorry to bother but I have searched for this and can not find any information. I have purchased a 2007 2500HD with a Duramax diesel and it came with out an owner's manual. The batteries are dead and I need to make sure I know exactly how to charge the batteries so I do not damage the electrical system. This truck does have 2 batteries and one of the postive connections was loose. I have tightened it but the I think the batteries are too low in order to start. I put the key in the ignition and turn it on and all the lights in the dash flicker then start flashing on and off. If I try to start I get a some type of buzzing noise.

#1 where in the world can I find an owners manual for this truck?

#2 what is the procedure to charge the batteries on this truck?

Thanks for your help

Link to downloadable OM.

I'd remove the batteries for charging. After charging Have them both load tested. It may be time for new ones.

I have been there and set my truck up, but it directs me to the GM Web site and it will only go back to 2008.

BTW Thanks a bunch for your quick response! I found a PDF owners manual for my truck on the internet. I just was not searching correctly!!

I will remove the batteries and take them up for testing and I hope that is all it needs is new batteries. I need this truck, going on vacation on Friday morning!!!

Thanks again for your help!

Batteries will need to be charged before testing. That is, if they will take a sufficient charge
