Can These Oem Wheels Be Painted?

If you have the ability to take them and have them bead blasted and powder coated, that would be the best option. It's not as expensive as you think. Otherwise, I've seen people paint them with etching primer, then color of choice but not sure how well they hold up. I'd think you'd need to sand them with 1000 grit sand paper first at a minimum to have a rough surface to bond with.

You need to get that plastic chrome cover off first! I dont think thats going to hold up to the heat of a powdercoat oven :)

Police Tahoes came with those same wheels painted (or coated) black, you should be able to find a set onb flea-bay for a lot less than buying those and then getting them powdercoated

I think they are plastic glued to the steel wheel! Not 100% on the plastic, I have never tried to pull mine apart. I think there was someone here or on GM fullsize that striped these wheels of the cover and removed all the glue to have flat black wheels. Its for sure a cover over the steel wheels.

Those wheels come on the W/T truck without the chrome piece attached. The spare comes that way as well. It is metal, and I am pretty sure it can be removed, it got put on, it must come off.
