if just a tad bigger and your kinda short on money then a body lift will do if you got a couple 1000 laying around then go with a suspension lift

+1

It all really depends on your funds. I wanted a 4" suspension lift (because a 6" wouldnt fit in the garage) but I didnt have an extra $2K, so I got a 3" BL, a set of 2" keys, and some 2" AALs. After all that, I netted just over 4" of lift for around $450 (im a deal shopper).

Given you have the funding, Ide always go with a suspension lift over a BL. But, BL are cheaper and easier to install.

One last thing, if you dont have any restrictions on your height (like a garage, or a short wife) go with a 6" right off so you dont regret going too small to begin with.

Body lifts: rides like crap

cheap

quick simple

looks ok if u stay below 3 inches or else it shows the body

Wears out parts faster

Suspension:

Expensive

Rides good

looks clean

Instaling depends on if u know how to or not.

I could go on but ob my phone at work :)

Body lifts: rides like crap (PLEASE EXPLAIN SINCE IT IN NO WAY AFFECTS THE SUSPENSION)

looks ok if u stay below 3 inches or else it shows the body (I'LL ASSUME YOU MEANT FRAME AND NOT BODY)

Wears out parts faster (WHAT PARTS?)

Suspension lifts are not cheap. I did a 4" and don't regret it, simply because the truck still fits in the garage, and I can get in the cab easy myself.

I am not sure why a body lift rides like crap? Nothing changes with the suspension, so it will ride the same.

Depending on what suspension lift and tires you roll will depend on the ride quality.

It basically comes down to how high to you want to go? How much $$$$ do you want to part with?

Body lifts make trucks ride like crap! Spacers/ shackles /city blocks whatever.. using shackles for instance over extends the shocks out ie. A shitty ride. Spacers no so much but stiffen up the ride

ya, think i'll go with suspension just not sure would my 33's look stupid with a 6" lift? also can there be more wear and tear between the 4 6" lifts?

35's would look better.. some people prefer 33's w/6' lift..

there is no way to judge the difference in wear n tear... there both going to affect all the parts on the truck because when you lift you put more stress on each individual part..

Exactly.

Could you explain again how/why body lifts ride like crap? But this time, explain it by using components that are facilitated in a body lift.

How does a body lift effect the shocks?

Well like i told you before (mind you, i am no truck guru) Its common sense. buddy of mine threw some 20$ shackles on his truck which raised the body causing the shocks/struts/springs w/e the hell you wanna call them to overextend.. causing the truck to "ride like absolute shit" what part of that sir do you not get?
