2011 HD Grille on my '07 1500

Got my 2011 HD grille for Christmas. Put it on last night. Still waiting for the bowtie, should come this week.

other than the bowtie I mentioned, I need to figure out something for across the top of the grille on the hood, whether it be a chrome piece or a low profile bug guard.

I would get the chrome strip that goes across the hood. I second the tows.

I like the way it looks also...in the pics above . The reason I want to use a bug shield or a chrome strip is because there is now a 1/2" underbite with the new grille when you get up close. I can't just leave it like that.

Why does there appear to be a dent in the top of the bumper, pushing down at the midline point? Almost like clearance for the secondary hood catch. Or is that what it is?

It's just the shape of the 1500 bumper. It has an ever-so-slight dip in the middle, the 1500 grille follows this dip. The 2011 HD grille was designed in conjunction with an all-new 1-piece bumper that matches it.

That looks great! Does anybody know if a 2012 H.D. one piece chrome bumper will fit a '09 H.D.?

The dealer can't tell me so I'll just have to wait to hear from someone that has tried it.
