So does the Mobil1LS fluid have some limited slip additive in it? Hence the LS? I thought we didnt need any additive for our trucks.. The Mobil1 fluid at my local parts stores has "LS" after the 1...How can you be for sure if you have the diff that needs the additive or not? Gonna be removing the bed next weekend to change fuel pump and will finally get around to doing the fluid change then...

Another question or two and I hope to not have to bother anyone about this topic.

If I go with Amsoil. Can I use the Severe 75W90 gear oil in both diffs or just the rear? It calls for 80W90 for the front. On their site they have the 75W90 in severe gear oil and Long life synthetic gear oil. If I remember the long life is a couple dollars cheaper.

How can I throw all this together going with Amsoil? My brain is fried reading hundreds of post on different forums...Can I just get one weight oil for both diffs or do I need to get the 2 different weights? Do i need to go with the severe gear line or the Long life synthetic gear oil line of product? Or am I just putting to much thought into something simple?

Help please!

You can go with the same oil in both front and rear differentials.
