my 4wd light comes on every now and then and the dealer said it was the range position sensor in the transfer case

you're talikng about the t case encoder motor sensor,i thought you meant the transmission NSBU switch...AKA range position switch

 

i want the code they pulled ..

 

did they give you a quote to have it repaired ???
