Retrofitting a WT Silverado into LS or LT.

This may seem impractical or perhaps a waste of time, but it has been done before. I have a 2007 Silverado 1500 Classic WT extended cab with low miles that I will soon inherit from my pops. It has under 40,000 miles and has been well-maintained. It has tan interior with custom cloth seats, a 6 CD changer radio commonly found on Silverado LTs, Tahoes, Hummers, etc, 4.3 Vortec, and air conditioning. The don't haves are:

Power windows, locks, and mirrors.

Cruise Control

Leather-wrapped steering wheel with controls.

Body-colored top front bumper cap.

Rear Chrome bumper.

I just want those factory options retrofitted into my truck. Can anyone please tell what needs to be done to ensure a successful retrofit. I'm willing to spend the money to do it.

I heard that I have to check my fuse box to see if I have power windows locks opening for them. I also heard that I need a programmed BCM to allow the power windows locks and mirrors to work..I need more explanation.

BCM = Body Control Module

computer that controls most of the functions in the passenger compartment like windows and door locks, etc

It may have to visit the general to phone home to get the BCM programmed with the new functions; somebody else with more GM computer know how will hopefully chime in and add to what I have said.

Sorry not a GM tech / Guru.

It would require a dealer visit if it even can be done for programming. I know it used to be possible to add power windows and locks but things are much more complicated now.

but since this not a 2008 or later truck, can it still be possible? Also I failed to mention, how about adding an overhead console with map reading lights?

What if I were to get a preprogrammed BCM from a 07 Silverado LT with all the power options and wire harnesses. Will that work?

It may still require programming for your vehicle.
