Heavy Half

My first post!!

 

I just bought a 1995 K2500 (Heavy Half). It is in great condition... no dents, interior good, runs great. 5.7L with a 5sp manual transmission.

 

Can any one share stories of their experiances with this truck, good.. bad.. issues.. history... Anything that will help me become more familiar with my "new pet"

my good freind has the same exact truck except its auto... solid truck, only thing that sucks is that it has 3.42's and the brakes are terrible

Well, my wife and I had a chance this last weekend to take her up into the mountains to "get a little mud on the tires"! She drove well, 4wd worked great.

 

We spent a little time on Sunday trying to clean up some stains on the inside (grease I think). We used Simply Green on most of the vinyl and Resolve on the carpets. For the really stubborn stains we used Brake Cleaner.

 

The wheels are aluminum and have little black pits in them. I tried SOS pads and that does pretty good, but a lot of work!!. Anyone have better ideas on the wheels??
