Thanks for the education Danny. That's pretty cool. Looks like they still make a four stroke version. Can't believe I've never seen one before- oh wait, that's right, I'm in the middle of freakin' Iowa. Of course, you're in the middle of Kansas...

I need a little education on them myself. Trying to find info on maintenance took a while. Lower end has to be greased(little tube on the left in 3rd pic covers a zert) and IIRC it has an impeller fed by the main pump. Everything else is like a regular outboard. I like 2 strokes for little boats. If I'm headed out fishing I don't want to change the oil, it's easier to dump it in with the gas!

Well they did actually charge me with it, but luckily when they contacted my commander and he came to the scene he took one look at me, laughed and then proceeded to chew out the cops for everything because he could tell I hadn't been drinkin and said they will here from their commander about trying to punish someone for doing the right thing... score two points for my commander

Oh and he also told them that when he checks on Monday there better be nothing on my record

Little kids and power wheels make me nervous. Several years ago I went with some friends to a truck show and they had a power wheels race for the kids. Some of the dads had seriously hot rodded the things- one had a functional/needed wheelie bar. My friends son raced in the "stock" class and won. After everyone was chatting and one of the kids in the fast ones plowed into me. Stopped him dead. Kiddo was fine but my ankle hurt like hell for a few days.

My son was driving the neighbors power wheels atv with their kid on the back (older) That thing flys, well my son was driving crazy then damn near decapitated both of them as he drove into a trampoline. I was worried until I hear my son laughing then he goes I'm stuck. Luckily his truck is slow
