Engine change emissions test. Apparently its an engine replacement because the 6.0 was available in a 2004 Sierra half ton. I see future problems with emissions tests

Plenty of available housing in Michigan where often on summer weekends I end up behind people running race gas on late model built cars.

Are they the cab lights that you installed?

Run it in my 65 Malibu SS always, used to run it in my crotch rocket too. I hope we never have to deal with that emission testing crap here

Filled up with premium instead of E85. Gonna be driving back to NH for Christmas in a bit and want to maximize highway range by flushing out the ethanol. Marathon station by my apartment has ethanol free gas. May keep it on that for a while. For the time being gas has dropped enough that E85 isn't cost effective anymore.

Curiously, what did you put in the trans & rear? Have not changed mine yet, has just shy of 3000 on it. Know when I changed a 2007 3500 everything looked like it came out of a swamp(color only, no water). Showed it to a friend who is a mechanic & all he said was typical factory fill.

Sorry I can't even tell. I had it done at the dealership.

And I'm talking about 2000km not miles.

I still believe in getting rid of the "break in" residues. Even if they say that it is not necessary anymore.

New fender measurements after stock torsion bars went back in: 49.5" front, 48 7/8" rear. Actually went up from the HD bars. Those were not indexed properly for my truck

Well got me a loner truck from the dealer because parts have been delayed two days now and they are hoping to get them in tonight. Anyway its a basic WT 4x4 CC Silverado and has the 5.3, let just say its nothing like my 6.2L LTZ. Can you say GUTLESS? But overall happy I got a loner. :ughdance:

Scored more engines. 2 L76 aluminum block 6 liters and an old turd 454.... all new Goodwrench crate engines still in the crates. The big turd and one 6 liter are already sold lol. I might keep the other one as between what I made off my 5.3 sale and these other two its free anyways. nujama9a.jpg

Im still trying to work out my front differential issue. I haven't had enough time to go get my money back from the first shop and then go to the dealer for another test drive so they can repair it again. Guess no one around here knows how to check for a bad gear set
