DIY Underseat Storage

I'm in the process of making my own underseat storage for my crew cab sierra.

 

I'm taking measurements so others can duplicate.

 

It is also going to have lids on either side.

 

Here are the sides, I am going to use two to start and might and some more to split up into different cargo areas.

 

Might be kind of hard to read. 3.5" on the left, 16" long, and 7" on the right.

I got the four main pieces together, for those of you wondering. To find the angle of the side pieces there is an app for that. For this the slope is 12 degrees so for the long pieces to sit flush with the angle of the side cut at 12 degrees.

 

For those of you that have no idea what I'm talking about I'll post pictures later.

Are you planning to make a bottom for it or are you setting things on the carpet?

There isn't going to be any bottom. I am going to make some lids for it that way I can set stuff on top of it.

Great idea...how does it look with the seat down? Also, will you tie it down or anything to keep it from rattling around? My DUHA has 2 straps .

How much did you cut out for the center hump. Have any more detentions? I'm looking to do the exact same thing

Are you going to cover the wood in carpet at all?

I am thinking of doing something very similar, but in MDF and painting it black, Looks good.
