May go to the July race at Daytona can get tickets going into turn 1 or coming out of turn 4 which is best and where would you like to sit?

Also what about the Fan Zone, is it worth the cost? Thanks for all of you input!! :jester:

Daytona is a huge track. I was there a few years ago, and would not bother going again. The best seat is the one in your house, with a good surround system. You can only see a small portion of the track and for the first quarter of the race, you have a long time between the cars going by. I went to the Brickyard a few years ago as well, got lucky, got the seats directly across from the jumbotron screen. Bristol is the direct opposite, no bad seats anywhere, and is like watching a car race in a football stadium.

This isn't entirely true it might have been the case from your seat, but the higher up you are just like Talladega you can see the whole track from many tower seats. The problem with these tracks is they weren't designed and built like newer tracks are today. Newer tracks today are actually dug down in the infield areas giving much more overall track viewing to many more lower seats. Indy is a whole other animal they built that double sided grandstand on the front stretch so nobody is seeing the whole track. To the OP I am sure there is one of those 3D seat finder websites like for football, hockey, baseball, ect that you can punch in seat info and see what the view is. I personally I like high up front stretch towards turn 4, usually there are large 18 wheeler size jumbo trons on either side of the front stretch opposite to pit road entrance and exits, which is good for viewing replays ect under cautions.

Yes, the higher seats do provide a view of the whole track, but, looking at the exit of turn 2 from the exit of turn 4 has to be close to half mile away. Even looking straight across the track, like from the start/finish line to the mid-part of the back straight has to be at least a quarter of a mile away. IMHO that distance is just unacceptable to me. Indy is worse than Daytona. I have not been to Talladega, so cannot offer any insite to it. The mile and a half tracks sitelines tend to be better than Daytona, but nothing like bristol.
