I'm having trouble hooking mine up. There is more wires than my single din. Everything that can be matched is matched.

I dread the installation, is it difficult?

A small piece of plastic prevented fitment for me. It had to be cut out. Its small piece that holds the back of the stock radio on the gmt-800. I don't know what truck you have. Install is simple if you have a set of dykes, and strippers, and you know how to splice. Plug the chime box into the OEM harness, and splice the radio harness to the chime box harness. Each wire is color coded. I had a couple non applicable wires. I also did the relay so my parking.g brake doesn't have to be on for the video. Spliced that into my remote wire for the amp. I have the buttons set to what I call "disco mode" they constantly change color. Red, yellow, blue, green, like a Christmas tree on PCP. When I changed from my old pioneer DEH-7300BT to the AVH-P4400BH the sound got clearer. I love the 8 band equalizer. Better than the high Med low of the old one.

I have been thinking about getting a new head unit installed in my truck. Do people prefer the double din dvd players like this as opposed to a regular cd player? I would like to install something double din.

Good choice. I've had good luck with pioneer. Great product.

I'm now running JVC arsenal adv793. Bought used but brand new, still in box so far I like it. Only problem I've had is a little chunk of plastic in between buttons on the front rattled out from my woofer shakin the dash do bad LOL. This is the 2nd JVC I've had. I also had an eclipse DD HU, got stolen...that thing was awesome.

I love this pioneer. Sound quality is better, call quality is amazing. When I'm on the phone it shows call time, phone Connection "bars" and battery life. I can customize all the colors of the screen and buttons. And album art is show with ipod
