Which Hard Tonneau Cover for 2012 Silverado Crew Cab Xshort Box

Personally, I have looked at and studied bed covers for over three months. I bought a Access Vanish soft cover a month ago and didn't like it afterwards. So I finally invested in the one I was originally attracted to...the Undercover SE, smooth, painted to match the truck, cover. It is fantastic...there is no downside to it unless you are going to haul a lot of big stuff and have to remove several times a month. It is very easy to install, virtually leak proof and only weighs 58 lbs, so two people can easily remove it in less than one minute. I had to give up my chrome bed rails to install it but it actually adds more sportiness to the truck than the bed rails did. It is a fantastic cover and meets my needs perfectly. However, I do realize that bed covers are like anything else in life...everyone has their opinion, their likes and dislikes, depending on what best meets their needs. For me, the Undercover SE does it the best.

OH, I forgot I haven't changed the picture yet. As I mentioned in a posting last month, I have recently upgraded from the rc WT to the 2012 Extended Cab LT with the 5.3. The new one is also victory red and moded very similar to this one, so most folks wouldn't recognize the difference except for the body style. I will get the pic changed ASAP!

Fiberglass molded covers are so 1970s. They are heavy, you really can't use them partially opened when you travel and it takes at least two people and a whole lot of storage space should you need to remove it. Not to mention, when I see one that appears to have been on a truck a few years the paint is almost always faded.

I had my BakFlipF1 for almost a year and a half and love it!

I used to have a Gaylord's X-2000 on my last pick up, and I LOVED it.

I'm pretty happy with my Access rollover. It may not look the best, but it's light and versatile. It was on the truck when I got it, but I'm sure it was dirt cheap.

will bed covers wear away the paint if you don't have bed rail covers?? some trucks i see with covered rails and some don't have them. i'm wondering what the uncovered rail looks like in a year.
