How much getting paint fixed would cost?

I was thinking about taking my truck to a shop and have the paint fixed. It has about 4 spots that need repainted. About couple inch areas. Is it expensive to get done or recently reasonable? Is it even possible without repainting the whole areas? Thanks!

There is nothing cheap about painting. The cost of materials and labor is expensive..PERIOD. You cannot "spot" paint a bad spot, you have to paint the entire panel and perhaps blend into the adjacent panels.

Depends on what it looks like now, body work needed, color and how busy the shop is!

No body work at all. just paint fixing.
if the paint needs fix it needs some sorta of work, even if just a light sand. My buddys shop is $80/hr. Plus mat.

Why can't you spot paint? My tailgate was spotted in, they just had to clear the whole thing. Now if it's metallic then yes, spotting is not an option.

and 11,500 for paint, I would have traded it in... Of course i'm guessing that's CA pricing? Thank you Ms. Pelosi your a great help to the economy!(not)

You got ripped off bigtime!

Definately need the entire panel painted, and most likely blended into the connecting panel properly or it will look like crap.

on the Has Mat fees i would agree..but the work they did was worth it. all the SS cladding was removed and prep/painted, front/rear bumpers removed/prep painted, bed was removed, prep/painted in front of bed also, whole cab prep/painted to include rear of cab, and where the cladding goes, grill/break ducts repainted, and hard cover prep/repainted...then all put back together with a life time warranty for anything that happens..i think it was a good price, took 5 weeks to complete.

you have to spend big $$ for a factory quality/very high quality paint job. yeah you can go spend 1000 at maaco for a paint job that is nowhere near the quality of stock.

anyway, didnt you just buy that truck? why would you buy it without the dealer fixing it or getting reimbursed for it?
