Replacing Factory Remote Start with Aftermarket

I had the remote as an option when I bought my 07. Just my opinion, but what a waste of money. Range was a joke and I've heard the advanced isn't much better. Had a Clifforfd 1 mile remote/alarm installed a couple of years ago and couldn't be happier. Never had one problem with it and have started it 1/2 mile away, but haven't tried any farther. Money well spent.

I just bought a new 1-mile clifford alarm as well for my 2007 avalanche. However, the installers are saying that there is no way to tap into the OEM remote start. Therefore, all it will do with the clifford remote start is start the engine. It won't automatically turn on the heat/AC or turn on the heated seats. Grumpygmc - you said your was working great does that include all the features of the OEM remote start?
