Leather surfaces on front seats only?

I have ordered a brochure on ebay for a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado. Just like to collect some old auto memorabillia of my favorite cars. But anyway, I was studying the options about the custom leather seats, which is only available to for extended cab models. But the brochure stated "Front seats only." Does that mean the rear seats are not leather? What a lie for a nice truck. I do want to buy me a 2000 chevy silverado LT 1500 extended cab pretty soon.

I don't know about the 2000 Silvy, but my 2006 GMC Sierra X-Cab is set up that way. The only leather is on the seating surfaces of the front seats. The rest is vinyl, but it's nice vinyl, and almost indistinguishable from the leather. Personally, the way I use the truck, for carrying crap inside and not ever cleaning it, that works the best for me. I have the SLT package, with the seat heaters and that heated leather is great on the cold northwest mornings.

That is the way they all are today as well. Here is the wording in the GMC SLT standard options package for 2013 models.

 

Seat trim, Leather-appointed front seats.

as said that info is correct, in the rear seats on the center section you sit on in the seat is leather, the rest is vinyl.

I think the crew cabs starting around 2003-ish had rear leather seat SURFACES too.

 

Not the ext'd cabs though.
