Outcome of vibration on 11+ HD's ?

So far the only real solution has been to work with the dealer on getting 4 very accurately balanced tires. With any luck the original owner already took care of this as it seems to either have it from the factory or not have it at all. If it is a problem, the dealer needs to work on either swapping tires and/or getting all 4 tires properly road force balanced to a tight tolerance.

I have an 11 Silverrado 3500HD, 16.7K miles. With stock tires and new Michelin LTX MS2, 275--70-18, I have never had any

vibration. I haul a Arctic Fox 990S camper at 4300LBS.

X2- that was exactly my experience. I have about 5k since my 3rd round of brand new Michelin tires and the ride is excellent. The problem was that it took a gm engineer coming to the dealership balance the 3rd set to make it right.

I had the issue (very slightly), and had my tires just recently balanced the traditional way (not road force). They found the two passenger side tires were two ounces off each, and the driver side tires were off nearly 1.5 ounces each...rides like a different truck now. My passenger seat would shake before, not so much now...

Most shops will only balance tires down to 1/2 an ounce if you go with other than a road force unit; so make sure they balance to zero.

I've seen numerous threads about this problem and noted they (dealers/shops) concentrate on balancing the tires, but what about the wheels (rims) themselves. I understand once the assembly is considered "balanced" you should be good, but if your wheel is out of balance I would think it would make it harder to balance once a tire is installed.

Had the vibration, passenger seat shaking. Took a couple of trips to the dealer. Once all 4 tires balanced properly vibration disappered. Michelin 285-18 tires.

Went to look at a 2011 2500HD and took it out on the interstate. Smooth as glass like my 2007 1500. Wound up buying the 2500HD. Love it. Such a stable ride

Thanks for the replys
